BEAUTY SALONS
Conceived in response to the urgency of the current socio-political moment and understanding that we all have roles and responsibilities in responding to injustice, the Beauty Salons is a workshop where artists will develop practical skills to meet the challenge.

When community members are engaged as change agents in their own community, transformation occurs. With community-based public art and opportunities for artists to receive more training and resources, Transformation Arts is committed to supporting that change in communities of color.
Over the years TRANSFORMATION ARTS has generated public art, art forums, multi-disciplinary arts and festival events, the Mar Vista Art Walk, gallery exhibitions, art performances, poetry slams, art jams, virtual events, art marketplaces, live streams, and networking events for artists. We’ve also advocated for affordable housing for artists and others in need.
