Though science does not really want to acknowledge this, it nevertheless, had its humble beginnings in cultural lineages and traditions, or what is commonly referred to as folklore. Cultural “folk-medicines” have not been respected as science has developed, and even touted as evil and sub-standard, though many people have continued to develop and refine these original methods.

Pain Management Prevention and Recovery: Possibly the hardest conversation to have

In the field of Health and Wellness, and in regard to advice-taken from medical professionals, the topics of self care and pain management/prevention/recovery rank as the top three on the list of difficulty. Among many professionals that I have spoken with over the years, this conversation is often referred to as almost not worth having...Why?

In response to the many changes Humankind is going through, we cannot look away from the decline in Health and Wellness and it's relationship to the seeming benefits of “civilized lifestyle.” While there are many new, creative and wondrous advancements that have come from our evolution and development as a species, we cannot over-look what we have over-looked along the way. Creativity has a strange way of distracting us from common sense, as we revel in the joy of many expressions.

Why does "Modern Intelligence" Interfere with Life Cycles?

When we think of improving our own Health and Wellness, we often have the perspective that has been given to us by the media, in other word there is more to consider than is socially/culturally recognized. For most of us, we are growing our understanding as more is being exposed due to the availability of the Internet. Still, marketing and advertising has learned to mask itself as “source information”, and while some of this is accurate, much of it is aimed at personal or corporate gain.

Transformation Arts Community-Action for Health & Wellness - Local/Regional/National/Global Extension

At the risk of stating the obvious, we must consider that 'knowing the problem and challenges” in Health & Wellness, at the Local/Regional/National/Global levels, only identifies the condition. Making large scale “course changes” requires a foundation that is free of agendas that prioritize financial gain as the defining guiding factor. Programs that face large scale changes are characteristically met with resistance during the initial development, for as we all know “We are creatures of habit” and commonly reject change in the inception phase.

Transformation Arts is a Health and Wellness, Empowerment, Natural Leadership refinement self-study program. We understand that large scale impact and proof of concept starts from a point, and grows exponentially when societal patterns reveal growing imbalances and can be recognized as opportunities in search of alignment; the success of local public programs can re-structure standards, re-define lowest common-denominator inter-actions and self-accountability in public service programs , and be reproduced at regional, national and global levels.

Introduction and Organizational History

Transformation Art is a 30 yr. evolving mind/body experiential progressive educational training that began in early 1980. Over the years, the name has changed with respect to program and curriculum emphasis and instructor’s influence , having it humble beginnings in Martial Arts training and self-health care as it related to injury and illness and on-going Health and Fitness.
